Why tie cameras to GPS

Video on its own answers "what happened". GPS answers "where, when and how fast". Together they give a full record: the clip of a near-miss sits next to the vehicle's speed and position at that moment. Satcop's fleet tracking device reports roughly every 10 seconds, and the software can flag speeding, unauthorised stops and route deviations, the same events you would want to look at on camera.
