Two fleets in one city

Gurugram runs two kinds of fleet side by side. The first serves the automotive and two-wheeler supply chain that stretches from Udyog Vihar out to IMT Manesar along NH 48: milk-run trucks collecting parts from suppliers, plant buses, and trailers carrying finished vehicles. The second moves people. Corporate offices around Cyber City, Golf Course Road and Sohna Road depend on staff cabs that run late into the night.

Warehousing has grown on the edges of the city, around the Kundli–Manesar–Palwal (KMP) Expressway, Bilaspur and the Pataudi and Farukhnagar roads, so many trucks start and end their day outside the city itself. NH 48 to Jaipur and the Dwarka Expressway towards Delhi carry the rest.

Milk runs and just-in-time deliveries

A milk-run truck that reaches a plant thirty minutes late can hold up a production line. With a geofence around each supplier and the plant gate, the tracking software logs arrival and departure times for every stop, and the history shows which leg of the run usually slips. Satcop's in-house DS8888/BS8888 fleet tracking device refreshes roughly every 10 seconds and alerts on overspeed, ignition and tampering.

For trailers that leave the belt for long highway runs, the GPS tracker for trucks keeps the route even through patchy coverage: up to about 15 hours of local memory and a 6 to 8 hour backup battery. Add a fuel sensor and the tank level sits alongside the route.

Night shifts and staff cabs

For a transport desk running night pickups, the useful tools are simple ones: every cab on a live map, an alert when a cab overspeeds or leaves its route, an SOS notification, and a trip history you can pull up when an employee raises a complaint. AIS 140 for Gurugram passenger and goods vehicles

Some passenger and commercial vehicles registered in Haryana are asked to carry a vehicle location tracking device built to AIS 140. Whether yours is one depends on its category and permit, so confirm with your transport authority before you buy. Gurugram coverage, installation and support

Our field team travels from Pune or Hyderabad, fits trackers at the plant gate, warehouse yard or cab vendor's parking, and sets up the geofences for each supplier and plant before handing over. Where does the Gurugram installation team come from?

From our Pune or Hyderabad office. Satcop has no Gurugram office, so the team travels for installation and training, and support continues remotely.
