How Noida fleets move

Noida is a planned city of numbered sectors, and its vehicles follow that grid. Factory trucks and supplier vans work the industrial sectors of Phase 1, Phase 2 and Phase 3 and the large electronics and component plants that have come up across Noida and Greater Noida. Staff cabs run shift pickups for the office towers around Sector 62 and along the Noida–Greater Noida Expressway. Freight heads south-east on the Yamuna Expressway towards Jewar and Agra, and east to the inland container depot and logistics parks around Dadri.

Most Noida fleets also cross into Delhi every day over the DND Flyway or through Kalindi Kunj and Mayur Vihar. That makes one live map more useful than a phone call: you see whether a van is stuck at a border crossing, already inside a sector gate, or parked somewhere it should not be.

Geofences for a city built in sectors

Because Noida addresses are sector numbers, geofences are easy to draw. Mark a rectangle around a plant in Sector 63, a polygon around a warehouse in Greater Noida or a circle around a client's dock, and the software logs every entry and exit with a time. When a buyer questions a delivery time, the trip report answers it. Reports export as XLS, PDF, CSV or TXT.

The Satcop tracker refreshes the location roughly every 10 seconds and sends geofence, overspeed, ignition and tamper alerts. If a vehicle enters a basement parking level or a weak-signal stretch, it keeps data in local memory for up to about 15 hours and has a 6 to 8 hour internal backup battery, so the trip fills in when the signal returns.

Cabs, contract carriages and AIS 140 in Noida

Noida's cab and contract-carriage operators often ask whether they need an AIS 140 device. That depends on the vehicle's category and permit, and NCR fleets are often registered in more than one state, so check with the RTO that registered each vehicle.
