Wireless fuel level sensor, no complex wiring
Last checked: 5 October 2026. Satcop India makes the products on this page. Each product fact below is taken from the Satcop website, and the pages are listed under Sources.
Quick answer
A wireless fuel level sensor measures the fuel in a tank and sends the reading over Bluetooth instead of a cable. Satcop's wireless fuel level sensor installs without complex wiring, works with different fuels, records data continuously in a black box and shows the level remotely in Satcop's software. It is easy to add across a mixed fleet and built for rough conditions. We visit and demo in your city. Ask for a quote.
What the Satcop wireless fuel level sensor does
As described on the Satcop website:
- Easy install: works with different fuels, and fits without complex wiring.
- Bluetooth link: a wireless connection with continuous black-box data recording.
- Inclination: measures vehicle inclination and has a self-diagnostic system.
- Built for rough conditions: made for hard working environments.
- Scalable: add sensors across mixed fleets without rewiring every tank.
Why choose a wireless fuel level sensor?
The cable is often the hardest part of fitting a fuel sensor. It has to run from the tank to the tracker, past moving parts, heat and dirt, and it is one more thing that can be cut or damaged. A Bluetooth sensor removes that cable run. That makes fitting simpler, and it makes it easier to add sensors to many vehicles of different types without planning a wiring job for each one.
Black-box recording means the sensor keeps its readings continuously, so the fuel history stays complete. Inclination measurement helps on uneven ground, where fuel in a tilted tank can give a misleading level.
Where it fits
- Logistics fleets: trucks and goods vehicles on long routes, paired with a GPS tracker for trucks.
- Mixed fleets: vehicles of different makes and tank types, where rewiring each tank would take too long.
- Rough working conditions: the sensor is built for rough conditions, so it suits vehicles that work away from good roads.
How it works
- Mount the sensor. Fit it to the tank without complex cable runs.
- Pair over Bluetooth. The sensor connects wirelessly to the telematics stack.
- Watch levels. Black-box recording and remote fuel visibility in the fuel monitoring software.
Wireless fuel level sensor or wired sensor?
| Wireless fuel level sensor (this page) | Wired fuel level sensor | |
|---|---|---|
| Link to the tracker | Bluetooth | Cable into the GPS device |
| Fitting | Without complex wiring | Wired output into the tracker |
| Best when | Adding sensors across a mixed fleet, or where cable runs are hard | Vehicle tanks, gensets and static tanks with a wired set-up |
| Software | Satcop tracking and fuel monitoring software | Same |
Not sure which one suits your vehicles? We can show both at the demo.
What to ask before you buy
- Which fuels and tank types will it be fitted to?
- How does it pair with the GPS tracker?
- How is fuel history kept if the link drops for a while?
- Who installs and calibrates it?
- What does the written quote list: sensor, tracker, software, installation and GST?
Frequently asked questions
What is a wireless fuel level sensor?
It is a fuel level sensor that sends its reading over Bluetooth instead of a cable. The Satcop sensor records data continuously and shows the level remotely in Satcop's software.
Does it need wiring to the tracker?
No complex wiring is needed. The sensor pairs with the telematics stack over Bluetooth.
Does it work with diesel and petrol?
The Satcop website says it is compatible with different fuels. Tell us your fuel and tank type and we will confirm at the demo.
What happens on a slope?
The sensor measures vehicle inclination, which helps on uneven ground.
Can I add it to many vehicles at once?
Yes. It is built to scale across mixed fleets without rewiring every tank.
How much does a wireless fuel level sensor cost?
Ask for a quote. The price depends on the number of tanks, the tracker, installation and the software.
