Sectors, societies and the expressway

Noida's sector grid makes routes easy to draw on paper. In practice, the big societies of Greater Noida West, the towers along the Noida–Greater Noida Expressway and the older sectors near the Delhi border all add time at the gate. Some schools also bring students in from East Delhi over the DND Flyway or through Kalindi Kunj, and from Greater Noida further south.

The high-rise problem

When a child lives on a high floor of a large society, the gap between "the bus is here" and "the child is downstairs" can hold up the whole route. The fix is simple: tell the parent early enough.

• About-2 km alert. The parent app warns when the bus is about 2 km from the stop, which in most Noida sectors is enough time to come down.
• Live ETA. Parents can watch the bus approach on the map instead of calling the driver.
• Call driver. If something changes, the parent can call the driver from the app.
• Pickup order. The driver app shows the assigned students in pickup order, so the attendant knows who is next.

Attendance across sectors

A Noida route may pass through several sectors and societies, each with its own gate. An RFID handrail reader logs each child getting on and off, so the attendant does not have to keep a paper list while managing the door. The school can match bus attendance with UHF gate attendance on campus.

A sample set-up for a Noida school

A school in Sector 132 with routes to Greater Noida West, Sector 50 and Mayur Vihar might put a 4G tracker and RFID reader on every bus and UHF readers at the main gate. It could add a dashcam and dome camera on the routes that use the expressway. The transport manager would review missed stops weekly and look at actual trip times to decide whether the Greater Noida West route needs splitting. That is only an example. Cameras and SOS

For routes on the expressway, a wide-angle dashcam records the road and cabin cameras with IR night vision cover the inside of the bus. The driver or attendant can send an SOS to the school admin from the app, and staff get wrong-direction alerts.
